(Found on Google Images, stained glass window from "Alice in Wonderland")

Alice in Wonderland:  I chose this title because I love how classic of a story it is with such a unique and creative plot. Growing up, Alice in Wonderland was one of my favorite and least favorite movies because of how different it was from any other kids movie. The whimsical aspect is my favorite part of the story and it adds such a cool layer to the plot as a whole. If I were to choose "Alice In Wonderland' as my project storybook, I would want to reverse the story; I would want to make it to where the Alice character comes from a place that is ever-changing and magical and she goes into a place that is seemingly mundane and, well, normal.

Noah and the Ark:  This story is intriguing to me because it is also widely known outside of a biblical context. I think that in itself is powerful, because it already has a universal meaning. I grew up being told Bible stories by my mom, so I know this story frontwards and back. If I were to rewrite this story for my project, I would want to take a very elementary approach to it; as that was the mindset I was in when I first learned this story. Hearing this story as a young kid, I was always fascinated by how impossible all of it sounded, so highlighting the things that stood out to me as a kid in my re-telling would be cool to me.

Dante's Inferno:  In high school, we read this book and I didn't give it the appreciation it deserves. I find this piece of work so fascinating because of how complex it is in such a simple way. The idea of having different levels/sectors of hell is very eye-opening and very translatable to the real world. I would embarrass myself trying to rewrite this because of how incredible the original is, but I would add a modern look to each circle of hell. As this book is from the 1400s, the way sins are displayed in the book could be elevated to be more current with today's world so that it could appeal to a younger audience.

Robin Hood:  As a kid, I loved the cartoon adaptation of Robin Hood. Being older now and understanding the story line rather than just liking the story for the illustrations, I think it is an incredible message that needs to be amplified. Especially in today's world, there is a lot of corruption economically and socially, so revisiting this story with a modern approach I think would be impactful. Setting the scene in today's world would be a really cool adaptation in my opinion.
